• Booking details, such as trailer selected, rental dates, waiver signature, and related notes needed to fulfill your rental.
• Document images, such as photos of your driver’s license and vehicle insurance card or declarations page that you upload during booking.
• Payment information processed by our payment provider (Stripe). We do not store full card numbers on our servers. Stripe may collect card details, billing information, and related fraud-prevention data.
• Technical information, such as IP address, browser type, device information, and basic usage data (including analytics provided by Vercel Analytics).

3. How we use information

We use information to:

• Process and manage trailer reservations, deposits, and payments
• Verify identity and insurance as part of our rental process
• Communicate about bookings, pickups, returns, and deposit status
• Operate, secure, and improve the Services
• Comply with law, prevent fraud, and protect our rights and property

4. How we share information

We may share information with:

• Service providers that help us run the business, including Stripe (payments), Firebase/Google Cloud (database and file storage), Resend (transactional email), and Vercel (hosting and analytics).
• Professional advisors or authorities when required by law or to protect safety, rights, or property.

We do not sell your personal information.

5. Payment processing

Payments and security deposit authorizations are handled by Stripe. Stripe’s use of your payment data is governed by Stripe’s privacy policy. Card data is submitted directly to Stripe through secure payment forms.

6. Data retention

We retain booking, identity, insurance, and related records for as long as needed to fulfill the rental, maintain business and tax records, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. Document uploads and booking records may be retained after a rental ends for those purposes.

7. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, including encrypted transport (HTTPS) and access-controlled storage for uploaded documents. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

8. Your choices

You may contact us to request access to or correction of information we hold about you, or to ask questions about this policy. We may need to retain certain records related to completed or pending rentals.

9. Children’s privacy

The Services are intended for adults who can legally enter a rental agreement and operate a tow vehicle. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

10. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we post revisions. Continued use of the Services after an update means you accept the revised policy.
